St. Kitts and Nevis TVET Council and its Secretariat, review, validate and adopt competency-based occupational standards, train and maintains a cadre of assessors in addition to internal and external verifiers for the purposes of conducting and verification of TVET assessment outcomes, provide centre approval services for interested vocational institutions or on-the-job training facilities (employers location)  with the required facilities, to offer assessment services, certifications and awards, leading to the  National Vocational Qualification of St. Kitts and Nevis (NVQ-SKN), a Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ), Unit Statements of Competence and/or other recognizable TVET related certifications.
